Coach House Cottage (ref 30243) and Coach House Annexe (ref 30244) are located in the heart of the village of Yoxford, known as the garden of Suffolk because of the surrounding fruit farms and parkland. The semi-detached cottage sits by the detached annexe with a garden which leads down to the River Yox which, whilst normally very low can rise and flow quickly in wet conditions. The village is well served with a grocers, public houses and a couple of antique shops. Every August Yoxford has a highly regarded arts festival. Well-placed for the heritage coastal region, lying midway between Southwold and Aldeburgh. Nearest beach is Dunwich, 5 miles. Many walking opportunities abound with designated paths, as well as cycle routes with bike hire just 1½ miles away at Priory Farm, Darsham. Fishing is available nearby and there is a leisure centre with pool in nearby Leiston and good rail links from Darsham station, 1 mile. Also convenient for Snape Maltings and RSPB Minsmere. Have used Coach House Cottage before and am very pleased with the accomodation, apart from the usual rented cottage problems such as a very small TV, lights that do not work, cookers that need a good clean and bathrooms that require the same.

We really enjoyed our short break at Coach House cottage. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the provision of some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc was appreciated. Good water pressure in the shower, and the cottage was nice and warm. Our only mild complaint would be that the TV reception was poor (no one's fault!), but the WiFi was good enough to allow streaming so it wasn't a big issue overall. If you have an apple TV box or chrome cast I would recommend bringing it along. Others have commented on the road noise - but we certainly didn't find it intrusive or particularly notice it. I would absolutely recommend this cottage for a couple's getaway in Suffolk.

Bath was a bit deep for me when it came to getting out of it! Stairs a bit awkward but manageable. Otherwise a delightful cottage.
