Clay Cottage is a nice quaint cottage, good for a weekend break but perhaps not for a whole week due to the parking issues already mentioned in many reviews. There is a free car park a 10 second walk from the cottage however you can only park there after 5pm and before 9am - not great if you fancy leaving your car at the cottage for the day and walking from the cottage. As we were only there for 3 nights and spent the 2 main days out and about this wasn't too much of a problem however, if we were to spend longer there, this could become tedious trying to find somewhere else to park in the day time. The cottage itself was cosy and generally clean with a well stocked kitchen. You will need to take your own hairdryer though as there wasn't one to be found in the cottage. There was a high chair, stair gate and a travel cot which we appreciated having a 4 year old and a 19 month old with us. We would stay at Clay Cottage again but perhaps just for the weekend rather than a week.

A clean and comfortable cottage , but no garden, website states parking on site for 1 car ,you cannot realistically park on site. The nearby public car park has restricted parking. Also cottage is situated on a 4 way traffic controlled busy road junction ,so traffic noise is a problem. This is defineatly not a country cottage.
