We loved our stay here. The facilities on site were great. Our 2 primary school aged children loved the swimming pool and games room - this was used a lot, particularly as the weather was very wet when we were there. The bungalow was comfortable and clean. Washing up liquid, tea towels, bath towels and dishwasher tablets were provided. A hair dryer would have been handy but as long as you know that there isn’t one in advance you can be prepared. The closest shop is a short drive away. We drove to the ‘park and ride’ bus stop to take us into York. There is so much to do in York and the surrounding area. Our highlights were walking around the old city walls of York, the Railway Museum in York (free entry) and a visit to the North York Moors. We hope to return soon.

Visited with girls 11 and 5. Lovely little cottage, very comfy, warm and well equiped. A good base for exploring the area, close to York. There are a couple of eateries within 5 minutes drive which saves cooking. The pool was fun and never busy. Would have loved better weather to fully appreciate the facilities. Great for families.
