Nice cottage, very spacious, comfortable and warm. Tennis court, swings, slide and games room great fun for children (5 between 3 -12 years old), shame about pool being out of action as that would have made it even better.

The cottage needed some improvements with showers. One did not work at all and the other was intermittent. It wouldn't have been such an issue if the pool was functional but it caused problems for a large group sharing one lukewarm shower.

The cottage was superb. Comfortable and spacious. It was a little warm but this was overcome by opening the patio doors

This cottage could be lovely as the location is great. We found that it wasn’t very clean. Had to wash cutlery before we could use it. Floor very sticky and not clean. Obviously not cleaned for our arrival as sweets was behind the sofa. The pool however was a hit with the grandkids. Cottage could do with a deep clean.

This house was perfect for our family holiday having 4 bedrooms, 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. It was situated right next to the swimming pool which was excellent for the children. The cottages were just off the A 64 making it easy for all excursions. The shopping centre and Park and Ride to York was 4 miles away. The P & R was £11.00 for 5 adults and 3 children. The rooms were all of a good size with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The bathrooms were big but one had a shower with almost no pressure and the other took your skin off. Visits made were to York and Jorvik centre, The Deep at Hull, both of which were excellent. Filey was our beach visit as Scarborough was crowded. Restaurants we can recommend are Thompsons Fish and chip restaurant (about a mile on the A64 towards York) and the Indian restaurant 2 miles on the A64 towards Scarborough. All in all a great holiday. Thanks!

My second visit to this large holiday cottage; this time with 9 of us, three generations, 2 girls aged 8 and 11, and 7 adults. The kids had a great time in the pool, also on the tennis court and learned how to play table tennis. There is loads to see in the area, we went to 3 of York's museums, also the air museum and the Farm Museum, and over to Whitby, and called in Scarborough, also. The house has plenty of room, with two sitting rooms, and easy seating, (leather couches)for all 9 of us in the television lounge. The hot plates on the cooker took ages to heat up, but were great when they got going! Large fridge and freezer were good. Certainly, we will all go again!
