Water sports and country pursuits are available nearby, as well as golf at Whitsand. The Torpoint ferry is a short drive away, and from here you can cross the River Tamar into the city of Plymouth and visit ‘Drake’s Hoe’ or the Barbican, where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America. Beach 1¾ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

We were mainly put off the whole cottage and didn’t look forward to coming back to the property as not only was the owners house right on top of you but their cars were parked only 4 metres away from the patio doors and for half the week it was a large white van! As there were just the two patio doors to look out of that was our ‘view ‘ for the week. Not good at all and for this reason we never really felt settled. The photos gave the impression there was a proper view and if we had known what it was really like we would not have booked.
