Relax in this cosy beachfront cottage with all the contemporary comforts and a large glass balcony overlooking the sea.

Situated directly on the South West Cornish Coastal Path, just yards from the steps leading directly on to Porthallow beach, this traditionally-built, white-painted stone and cob former fisherman’s cottage has an enviable location. With low beams, wood panel walls, character and many original features, it sits at the end of a row of three, right above the quiet beach Porthallow. The cottage provides a comfortable base for guests with the added touch of French doors in the double bedroom opening onto a balcony with sea views. It’s in an ideal spot for exploring the beautiful Lizard Peninsula or for enjoying walking and scuba diving. It is also a wildlife and bird watcher’s paradise. Art lovers and garden enthusiasts will enjoy the numerous art galleries including the Tate St Ives and the sub tropical gardens including Trebah, Treliske and Durgan. The perfect base for visiting the many different areas of west and south Cornwall, from the rugged surf coastline of the north coast to the tranquil sailing waters of the south coast. Or simply relax on the property’s roof terrace with its glass balcony overlooking the sea and beach below. The area is perfect for beach lovers as the Lizard Peninsula boasts numerous sandy coves, quaint picturesque harbours and fishing villages to explore. The historic towns on Helston, famous for its Flora Day, and Marazion with St Michael’s Mount are set on its small island. The busy maritime port and harbour at Falmouth with The National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle is worth a visit. This sleepy, quiet spot gives guests easy access to so many attractions. Shop 1½ miles and pub 300 yards.

We spent our honeymoon in this cottage. It’s in a lovely location with lovely views out to sea. A wonderful little hideaway with a friendly pub just a short walk from the cottage.

Chy An Ky Bras is a lovely cottage. It has so many aspects to enjoy - the living room with fuel burning fire, the beautiful balcony overlooking the beach, the conservatory and the garden. We loved sitting out on the balcony at night with a hot chocolate listening to the waves and the local owl hooting away! We were actually glad to have bad weather that week because it was the perfect excuse to stay at the cottage and enjoy it! (even then we could've done with another week!) There is plenty of space for a family including a large 8 seater table which you don't see in the photographs. The cottage is well equipted with books, games, and DVD's and every utensil you could need! They had an Amazon Fire Stick and perfect WiFi so it was easy to watch films on that at night. The beach is a stones throw away from the cottage either down some steep steps or down a hill. It's quite a remote and rugged part of Cornwall full of one track roads but very mystical and pretty. You have the privilege of being close to lots of beautiful little coves such as Kynance Cove and Coverack! They're well worth a visit! The closest shop to the cottage is a 10 minute drive away in St Kevern so you definitely need a car! There are bigger supermarkets in Helson which is about a 35 minute drive. Just one note! The steps leading up to the bedrooms are quite steep so not ideal for people with mobility problems (the first step is about 1.5ft high!) We found ourselves carrying our elderly Staffie up and down but it wasn't a problem in our case. And the beach isn't sandy - its stones. For the fishermen/women out there the beach is great to fish from! My only complaint is I wish I had longer there!

Porthallow is such a really cute and welcoming little village. The location for beach, pub and costal walks was fantastic and on the doorstep! Not even the flood stopped us from getting to the pub! Just put on your flip flops and walk through the puddle!
