Simply perfect......... perfect location, perfect hosts, perfect cottage, perfect welcome package, perfect views, perfect comfort and above all perfect walks for our little dog. Would love to go back and thoroughly recommend to anyone that has a dog and enjoys peace, quiet and beautiful countryside walks. If there was a negative it would be a drive to any shops.

When I arrived, the cottage was cosily warm. There was a lovely Christmas tree. Milk, butter, and bread - and even a little gift for me! I loved the open space in the cottage and the fenced in garden - my dogs were very happy! Close by a nice Pub with decent food and walks along the Canal or up to Lympe Castle walking also through the zoo. St Mary's Bay beach just a few miles away. Wonderful people all over the area. My hosts were simply superb. Highly recommended!

We were warm and cosy here, in fact a bit too warm at times but better that than cold. The cottage had everything we could want, including dog towels and poo bags! Our two Old English Sheepdogs loved the enclosed garden so we were all happy. The only real downside was the sofa; not very comfy for sitting the whole evening especially if two of us wanted to sit side by side. So my partner took the big wooden armchair and I shuffled about all evening on the sofa. It wouldn't be so important in the summer but the dark November evenings forced us indoors earlier. This is why the cottage lost a point. There weren't any local amenities but it is a very small village so we really didn't expect anything. On arrival we were given milk, bread and butter so what more could you want? We took most of our food anyway and used the Sainsbury's in Dymchurch for topping up. Not a problem. The area was really fascinating with all its anti-invasion artefacts and we loved walking along the Royal Military Canal, only about 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Would we go back? Yes, without a doubt - the only problem is that we have the M25 and M20 between us and the latter is currently undergoing major works which is a nightmare at night when chunks of it are closed and some pretty horrendous diversions are in place. But this has nothing to do with the cottage which was one of the best we've stayed in.

A great place to stay. Lovely garden for our dogs to roam in. The sofa could have been a bit more comfortable.

We arrived to find a lovely one bedroom bungalow in its own grounds, thats fenced in and will keep the most escape minded dog within its boundaries. The bungalow is located in a lovely sunny location off the main road and very secluded, the patio area was fantastic to sit on and soak up the sun. Everything you can possibly need is supplied by the owners and there was nothing that we needed that was not already there. The welcome pack of tea. coffee, milk, butter and bread was real nice touch from the owners. Top marks for the great shower room thats been finished off fantastically, the bedroom is a good size as is are all of the rooms. The owners Jame & Ed are very friendly and are there if you need them but if you do not then they do not bother you, they have the perfect skills for being hosts. We liked the place because it was clean and tidy and please respect this if you stay here. Please do not let the photos on the website put you off as they really do not do the place justice. The location is perfect, just a short drive from town with two pubs within walking distance where you can get nice food from and sit outside. All in all we had an amazing weekend here and will return again
