Had a marvelous weekend. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and the cottage all we needed. My husband loved the underfloor heating. And the view so uplifting and watching the stars while in bed a first for us. Highly recommend this facility.

Went last minute Saturday to Monday, stunning views of the Autumnal countryside. Horses in the paddock grazing and being excercised, warm, cosy converted barn type building beautifully modernised. Lovely break.

We needed to get away from the bustle and found ourselves at this lofty rural retreat with stunning views across to distant South Downs hills. A rural idyll (see photo from the huge main window). A walk down the hill to the pub took about 10 minutes and the village's excellent butcher supplied our meat for the weekend meals. The owner, Graham, couldn't be more helpful and made us feel welcome when we arrived. Some local West Meon cider, as well as essentials such as milk, was waiting when we arrived. We had the relaxing weekend we needed. The only criticism that I would highlight is that the bathroom has no bath, but a wet-room / walk-in shower. I think ending the day after walks in a hot foamy bath would have made the rating a perfect 10.

Back door broken so could see through at bottom. Hob markings warn off so hit and miss as to which section put on. Lighting very poor. Cleaned up after our own dog, but that rule did not apply to the owner and his dog. Only met the owner once but did not seem interested in us or our welfare at the cottage. He gave the impression he was only renting out the cottage to make money. Wooden patio table and chairs very rickety

We wanted a chill out weekend with the dog and that's what we got. We loved it and the dog did too. We hope to go back soon. Even the weather was a 10 out of ten.... Bliss

We stayed at the Church View cottage for just over four weeks from the middle of February (between our relocation and house move). We couldn't have wanted for anything more! The Silk family were friendly, very welcoming and had the perfect balance of being attentive, but also letting us get on with it and treat it as if it were a home from home. The cottage itself was faultless! The views out of the floor to ceiling window were stunning and it was lovely watching the horses frolic around in the fields. Waking up with the sunrise through the window in the mornings was a real treat and a great way to start the day. The layout of the cottage works well if you have dogs, we found it very easy to keep clean after slightly muddy walks. The location of the cottage is perfect - the peaceful surroundings have plenty to offer in the way of short and long, interesting walks; whilst you feel out of the way, you are not far from the village and plenty of lovely pubs that serve delicious home cooked food. Easy to access other areas by car as well. Highly recommend a stay here!
