Fabulous little cottage to stay in. Perfect location and suited our needs as three lady friends together all wanting our own rooms. So good to have all the bedrooms of similar quality and comfort. Even the single room was decorated nicely with decent bedding and excellent quality mattress. The property was full of of character and very homely. Everything we needed for our stay. Very pleased to have the extra toilet upstairs even if very compact! Parking could be an issue as it’s a very narrow road and only one entry point but we managed to get a spot every night outside the house. Great village with two good restaurants very close on the High street and a good choice of pubs in walking distance. Friendly people and we felt like locals just after a couple of days.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for your very kind words and we are so pleased that you enjoyed staying in our house. We were thrilled to read it as we put our heart and soul into making Church House a Home from home, even if we only get to stay ourselves only a few times a year. Thank you again and do come back. Nikki and Michael.

Lovely house and very clean ! Very homely everything you need! Shame about the parking ... we had to park two streets away. And the church bells are loud and they kept the children awake but after a couple of days we got used to them. Overall a lovely place to stay everything you need in walking distance and a bus that takes you into Matlock if you need it.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Dear Duane, thank you for taking the trouble to write your review, which is much appreciated. Given Church House is tucked into the heart of the Heritage area, parking can sometimes be a bit of a challenge on a random basis and I hope this didn’t spoil your stay. I’m glad you eventually got used to the Church bells. Thank you again and we hope to welcome you again. With best wishes Nikki and Michael.
