We really enjoyed our stay at Church House. It was was cosy and homely. The rooms were clean and tidy. Wi-Fi is available. Hand-over of the keys was uncomplicated. The owner was very kind and hospitable.

Excellent, very well equipped cottage in a beautiful part of Dorset. We found it easy to get to and had everything we needed for a family of 4. Little things like lunch boxes in the cupboards and a flask was very much appreciated. Only one little thing was we found it hard to get warm water to bath the girls in the evening however the shower was fine. Very minor and it did not ruin our stay. Excellent Dorset base.

A great little cottage within day trip distance to several lovely locations. Overall great, very clean and well equipped cottage. Only minor points as to why it’s not all 10/10 is uncomfy sofas for evening chill, and storage heaters that we didn’t quite get on with.

Church House is a warm and inviting home, tastefully furnished, fully equipped and nestled between traditional thatched cottages. The village if Stoke Abbott is very peaceful with only the sounds of the occasional tractor and animals' bells clonking on the hill. Amenities are available in nearby Beaminster.

It was a very nice cottage, clean, modern and comfortable. We loved everything but the heating in the main bedroom didn’t work the night we stayed there, and there was no extra duvet. So we slept with jumpers on. In addition, there was no hot water after one person’s shower. We didn’t know whether it was because the hot water not supplied for 24 hours or because there is limited supply of hot water. So basically only 1 out of 4 people showered with hot water. Everything else is all very nice.

Very nice cottage, modern, clean with everything you could need and more. Village location is quite remote with tiny roads leading to it. The pub in the village is always fully booked with reserved tables so had to cook every night as didn’t want to drive the tiny single track lanes at night. Took a long time to drive to local attractions.
