Our fifth visit to Chorlton Moss - a fabulous house in a great location. A home from home in which you can relax. Beautiful garden, great local amenities and close enough to city activities near and slightly further afield - Chester, Shrewsbury and Stoke to name but three.

Had a great stay at Chorlton Moss Cottage and would definitely recommend. The cottage covers the basics on comfort and equipment and is particularly well geared up for families with a selection of small toys of appeal to the little ones and some rainy day entertainment too (DVD, Wii, Board Games). The star of the show is the fabulous location - at the end of a quiet lane, it has a lovely large and flat garden, with the countryside literally on the doorstep. Despite this, it's only a short walk across country to the village, where there is a shop, petrol station, pub/restaurant and village playground. A great base for exploring Staffordshire!

This was a lovely cottage, it was situated at the end of a lane so the children could play in the garden without me worrying about traffic. The garden is massive with goal posts, sit and ride toys and apple and plums growing. The owner encouraged us to pick them and use them in our cooking. The cottage is fully equiped the only things id to take was our food. There was a sideboard full of board games, paper, crayons, dvd's and a wii with games for us to use. The bedrooms were a good size with fresh bedding and towels, the childrens room were bunkbeds with toys in the room for the children to play with if the weather wasnt good. There was a file on where to go on days out, how to use the rayburn, put the hotwater on more etc. We were 25mins away from Alton Towers which we took advantage of. Theres plenty of eating places around the corners one in particular was called JR Smoke House which was reasonably priced and lots of choice. This cottage is like home from home and we really enjoyed our stay here.

We had a lovely, friendly and informative welcome from Paula. The cottage proved to be relaxing, cosy and a perfect size for our party of 3 people. Some might find notices about family heirlooms to be a little daunting. Others will appreciate their need. Some kitchen equipment could be more suitable for use in the microwave, but much depends on someone's style of cooking. The lack of a downstairs toilet may be a restriction for some. The countryside is very appealing and the cottage is well placed to explore the Potteries, North Shropshire, South Cheshire and Dovedale and the Manifold and Churnet Valleys. Overall, this is a lovely, cared for cottage with many appealing features which make for a great break in North Staffordshire, a most underrated part of the country. The admin of booking, confirmation and preparation for the visit were most efficient and trouble free.
