We had a lovely stay at Chestnut Cottage with our three small children! This property is set in a quiet village with a lovely village pub next door and is in an excellent location to explore the Jurassic coast and Dorset. The property was clean and homely and we particularly enjoyed evenings in front of the open fire. The property has a great garden too. We had a couple of minor issues on arrival and the owners ensured they were remedied very quickly which was great. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to go back again.

We had a great time at the cottage, great location in the Dorset countryside. We were two couples sharing the house, but it could accommodate six people,in three bedrooms. They are nice large bedrooms. My only fault I could comment on,was the one bathroom, with no other toilet facility was an inadequate situation, especially if you had six people.

Having stayed here alone in January, I was keen to bring the whole family to stay in the Summer. The garden had been suitably cared for and is big enough for the boys to have a kick about and the dog to have a bit of a stretch. There is a large hole in the righthand side hedge, which meant Belle kept escaping into the pub garden next door! She could also escape under the gate at the back, so we tried to block both up. Perhaps someone might look into making these areas more secure for our escapee pets!!! We adored the open fire and looking at the stars through the skylight in the bathroom. The pub next door is quite expensive for the area, but the Brothers are lovely and very welcoming. We visited often and they helped us out providing some butter one day too. It's a pity they've closed their community shop however. We shall return again I am sure. A list of what is and isn't provided, included detailed list of equipment would be helpful, as it was different from January!
