This is a wonderful cottage in a great location, well laid out, nice pub next door and we love it, this was our 2nd visit in 3 years. The only downside is that the cottage feels a bit neglected, in need of a bit of love and care. Would love to go back soon.

Had a really nice week in Chestnut Cottage with our families. It is well equipped and exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and spaciousness and we managed to work with there being only 1 bathroom. The only downside is that you have to drive quite a way down narrow lanes to get anywhere.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Chestnut cottage but the problem is now it is looking a bit tired, it needs to have some money spent on it.The central heating when we turned it on only heated certain radiators regardless of if the thermostats were on. When we used the washing machine the patio flooded as the drain outside was blocked. The table mats are the same ones that were there the first time we stayed and are very tatty. The duvets are 13.5 tog and are very heavy, again they are the same ones as have always been there. We take our own when we stay there.I did leave a note to say about the heating and the blocked drain but don't know if any action has been taken.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to bring to our attention some important points. If you had informed us of the problem with the radiators at the time, it would have been resolved immediately, as it now has been. We will take on board your other points and do hope that you enjoyed your stay.
