Excellent apart from heating! Owner's came and left two heaters and but the engineer said he couldn't get there because of the snow. Otherwise, the cottage was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

Chapel Barn is a lovely barn conversion, slightly quirky but that adds to the enjoyment of being somewhere other than home. There are some really nice touches in the way the property blends the old and new, the garden looks like a nice well kept place to enjoy the warmer weather. The whole property is fairly well equipped and on the whole, it provided everything we needed. It would benefit from some updating of the sofas and mattresses which would go a long way to making the cottage really excellent accommodation. Orton is a lovely village, friendly pub, great walks on the doorstep and close enough to the Lake District so that we could dip into the honeypot and then happily come away!

A beautiful cottage in an amazing setting. The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed to relax. Picture postcard does not do it justice. Quirky, quaint and qiute exceptional.

I have only scored 7 on comfort and equipment as we found the crockery was a bit lacking as we cook all our meals in and found there wasn't enough dishes for oven etc or dishes for cereal and dessert . The comfort in cottage was excellant as it was very warm and cosy and beds very comfortable . Really enjoyed stay as it was in a good position for all our trips out .
