Perfect for couples or friends alike, a hive of activity is available right on the doorstep including high street and independent shops, delicatessens, restaurants and local pubs complete with live bands.
Recognised from its appearance as ‘Royston Vasey’ in TV’s ‘The League of Gentlemen’, Glossop is also renowned for the sheer amount of nearby outdoor activities, from walking, cycling and mountain biking, to rock climbing, hang gliding and caving. The traffic-free Longendale Trail can also be picked up in Glossop, which stretches for 7 miles from Hadfield to Woodhead Tunnel, and is accompanied by spectacular scenery.
Kinder Apartment is a lovely first floor apartment offering spacious, open plan accommodation and a comfortable bedroom with a kingsize bed that can be arranged as twin beds if required, making this the ideal choice for both couples and friends. Outside is an enclosed garden with table and chairs, the perfect spot for some al fresco dining after a busy day of exploring. You can even bring a four legged friend along, so no one need miss out.
As the gateway to the beautiful Peak District National Park, an abundance of Peak District towns and villages such as Edale, Castleton, and the famous spa town of Buxton are all within a 30-minute drive, together with the ever popular market town of Bakewell and magnificent Chatsworth House, 45 minutes away. There’s a leisure centre and the Victorian swimming baths nearby. Slightly closer to home you’ll find the award-winning Millennium Walkway, and superb Torrs sandstone gorge at New Mills, 15 minutes away. The wonderful village of Hayfield neighbours Glossop, and is popular with walkers due its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Hayfield caters well for tourists with its own collection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. If you’re looking for city life, the bright lights of Manchester are just a half hour’s drive away, or 30 minutes on a direct train from Glossop. Shop 170 yards, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
