The location was very nice with good views of Harlech castle and Snowden in the background . Unfortunately the apartment was let down by cheaper furnishings and equipment. It looked clean but tired. We were surprised to have to buy soap for washing our hands. Supplying a bar of soap and perhaps shower gel would not cost a fortune but helpful if you’ve not brought any.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We are a little surprised with your score as when you left you told us all was fine. We take suggestions very seriously and of course will supply our home made soap for guests in the future as we do in our B&B next door. We have never been asked for this before in 10 years of letting as we find people prefer their own brands. As you know we already leave homemade cakes, milk, tea and coffee as a welcome. Unfortunately you had rain and cold weather for most of your stay which does not help show the area in its best light. However, there are plenty of things to do when the weather is bad in this area of Snowdonia National Park. We had just had a grading inspection from the company prior to your visit and had the star rating for the flat upgraded so the furniture and fittings must of reached the required standard - so we feel a score of five for this is rather harsh and does not compare with other reviews. Harlech is only a small town but has a wonderful beach, a world heritage site castle, good public transport links with a good train service and a wide variety of good eating places, especially Castle Bistro which is just a 2 minute walk from the property.

Fabulous gem of an accommodation. Views of the coast, the castle and mountains. What more could you want?
