Commanding spectacular views over Cardigan Bay, these four holiday properties enjoy an elevated position nestled beside a mountain stream, accessed by a steep shared drive. Woodland Roost (ref WN72) is a detached hideaway located within a woodland garden and Cedar Rest (ref WN82) and Coastal Retreat (ref 28519) are delightful wings of the owners’ 16th-century hillside farmhouse. Ceilwart Cottage (ref WN73) is situated in a beautiful, terraced garden with patio, BBQ and patio furniture, and has strong green credentials with its solar panels for hot water, a ground source heat pump for the comfortable central heating and cosy sheep’s’ wool insulation, not forgetting the triple glazed windows and the UV filtered natural spring water. They all overlook the owners’ field, and are only a mile away from the town of Barmouth, with its choice of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. A steep walk across the road takes you to the promenade and a beautiful sandy beach. Close by are all the amenities of the Snowdonia National Park, Harlech with its castle and golf course, Portmeirion, and steam trains run from Porthmadog. They are secluded but not isolated, with horse riding, fishing and mountain bike centres within an easy drive. Beach 1¼ miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

We really enjoyed a long weekend here, veiws were out of this world, cottage was excellent value, could do with a bit of updateing, better heating a must in winter & a bit more kitchen equipment. All said thums up.

Generally property was satisfactory, but on arrival it seemed the property had not been cleaned. We found a child's sock under the dressing table, there were hairs in the bottom of the bath and the windows were dirty inside.

The location and the views from this cottage are excellent with some great local amenities and walks. However, the smell of damp throughout the property, particularly in the second bedroom (initially disguised by the an overpowering smell of bleach) was awful and ruined the holiday. Despite the bleach, the property wasn't particularly clean with cobwebs and mould in the dining area. As another person has commented on, there was also a distinct lack of equipment in the kitchen. Stay in the area by all means but avoid Woodland Roost!
