Commanding spectacular views over Cardigan Bay, these four holiday properties enjoy an elevated position nestled beside a mountain stream, accessed by a steep shared drive. Woodland Roost (ref WN72) is a detached hideaway located within a woodland garden and Cedar Rest (ref WN82) and Coastal Retreat (ref 28519) are delightful wings of the owners’ 16th-century hillside farmhouse. Ceilwart Cottage (ref WN73) is situated in a beautiful, terraced garden with patio, BBQ and patio furniture, and has strong green credentials with its solar panels for hot water, a ground source heat pump for the comfortable central heating and cosy sheep’s’ wool insulation, not forgetting the triple glazed windows and the UV filtered natural spring water. They all overlook the owners’ field, and are only a mile away from the town of Barmouth, with its choice of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. A steep walk across the road takes you to the promenade and a beautiful sandy beach. Close by are all the amenities of the Snowdonia National Park, Harlech with its castle and golf course, Portmeirion, and steam trains run from Porthmadog. They are secluded but not isolated, with horse riding, fishing and mountain bike centres within an easy drive. Beach 1¼ miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.

A basic cottage for two, small but good use made of space. Very clean and all basic equipment present. Ideal for a short quiet break. Views of sea pleasant and within easy reach of local area. Can walk down to the beach and onto Barmouth but need to be reasonably fit as steep walk back.

Friendly owner.Nice view from one window,no view whatsoever from other windows. Smelled damp on entering, cutlery drawer and cupboard underneath both smelled terrible. So glad we had taken our own bedlinen, towels and pillows but wished we had taken our duvet as theirs was lumpy and damp. Shower room, where to start, -not been cleaned in a long while and grout between tiles was black. Absolutely not fit for purpose. Overall the property is in need of a total revamp. New sofa needed. If We had been charged 50% less we would still have been overcharged.

Whilst the owner was amazing and allowed us to use the other cottage due to poor internet there could be more detailed information regarding access to email as 4G is a real issue here and pretty much no phone connection. For us we were working and needed the internet and in the end lost some days due to no internet having to sit in cafes all day to stay afloat costing us more money and defeating the original purpose of being here... The small cottages whilst cosy needs a revamp especially the sofa.... Having said that if you are staying in the large cottage that looked amazing....
