Pleasant holiday places of interest little bit far . The garden, although the back is completely enclosed, the front was on a busy road. Getting two high energy dogs out of the car after a four hour journey was a nightmare! There was nowhere to pull up away from the main road, as the drive is shared and a notice asking you not to park there. Windows need a good clean, and mould needs removing from the window frames. The conservatory/dining area was too cold to use the week we were there unfortunately. We did alter the heating so we could be warmer. On entering the cottage it smelt a caravan that hasn’t been used for some time. There was a stain at the end of the bed valance sheet, which looked like a dog had used it as a toilet. It was a dry mark, so not a new thing, and didn’t smell so we didn’t call anyone as it was a stain, but a little off putting! The bed was comfy and clean apart from the stain.

The cottage is very nice - with lots of room and nicely laid out. Having a dishwasher and a washing machine was a real plus - in fact it was very well equipped. We did have an issue with one of the locks - but I'm sure that is sorted now. Bacton itself is very quiet - and there are not a lot of amenenieties - one pub (Poachers Pocket - which was pretty decent), a couple of fish and chip shops, a corner shop and a chinese restaurant (which was very good) - so if you are looking for a lively local scene it would not be for you (it suited us down to the ground though).

The cottage is spacious and plenty of room for the four of us plus one husky. The kitchen is well equipped and a great open space. The front room is a little small but with the ability to use the conservatory we were all able to find space. The beds were very comfy and the rooms clean. The enclosed back garden is great for dogs. Only downsides are the outside looks like it needs a coat of paint and the drive is shared so you cannot drive up to the rear of the property to unload. Great location near the broads, Cromer and Great Yarmouth and has a local shop open 7 days a week.

This cottage could be so much better. It had not been stayed in for a while, so that has to be taken into consideration. Overall cleanliness was OK. The caretaker was very quick to come out and help us when the TV didn't work but it needs a booster to make it fit for purpose. The heating needs to be on auto far more than two hours a day at this time of year, fortunately we knew what to do about it. The conservatory left a lot to be desired and really wasn't a place to spend much time in. The side porch was awful with condensation constantly on the windows. A lot of the other windows suffered from this as well, especially the bedrooms. It needs pointing out that the drive is shared and there is only room for two very small cars to park in the parking space. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was warm when the heating was on. A couple of stools in the kitchen would enhance the breakfast bar no end.
