My wife and I and Willow the dog spent a wonderful week at this excellent cottage. Owners Jill and Alan were perfect hosts. The cottage was fully equipped with everything one could want. The only downside was that it was a bit too far away from the local shops to walk to. We still enjoyed walks along the river though. We had excellent fishing on the pond and the river. We would certainly consider staying here again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for your comments we are pleased you enjoyed your break. You had some great fish out of the river and pond so that was good. Unfortunately because we are in a rural setting it is a drive to the nearest shop, but we compensate by having pretty surroundings and lovely walking areas.

A second visit to Caulton for us, but slightly earlier in the year than our last. Lovely to see and hear the different birdlife and enjoy some lovely sunny weather. We will return for visit number 3 very soon!

Fantastic break. Great cottage. Owners Jill and Alan are very friendly and made us very welcome. Jill even gave us some tasty homemade cakes. Booked to go back twice already.. just hoping for better weather next time.

This is our third visit here, and we love it. Jill and Alan are smashing hosts, they really can't do enough for you (and your dog!) to ensure that you have a truly relaxing break. We were treated to a great display of aircraft - Spitfire, Typhoons, a Dakota, finished off with a Hurricane! Shame we didn't see the Lancaster, but next time... If you are after a spotlessly clean, comfortable home located in a quiet area with a large interesting garden, a great pond for fishing, and with the added bonus of free flying displays, then this is the place to go! We will certainly be returning G, T & M

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thanks for your positive comments. We really enjoy your visits. The Lancaster is now up and flying alongside the Dakota.

Had a lovely winter short break with friends. Sadly weather was bad so we didn't venture any further that Woodall Spa and local surrounding sadly didn't get a walk along dyke to next village. As the cottage was so well equipped and cosy it didn't matter one bit..a truly restful weekend. Gill made us welcome from meeting us at her gate to a show round of the cottage not to mention the gift of a lovely homemade fruit loaf. We indulged with nice cuppa in front of nice fire later that afternoon. Cottage was spotless and beds very comfortable, we could not want for anything. Would we go again.....MOST DEFINATELY

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your lovely comments. It’s a shame we can’t order the sunshine, you really did have awful weather. Hope to see you again in the future.
