A very clean and well appointed flat with good sized rooms and adequate kitchen facilities. Good heating/hot water and a comfortable bed added to the homely feel of the place and good off street parking was, for us, a must. At our pace of walking it took 20 minutes to reach the theatres and nearer half an hour to reach the main shops but, at a good pace, those times could be halved. Would certainly recommend this place and, from the comments in the book, many people make return visits as we may well do in the future.

We really enjoyed our week in Eastbourne the flat was warm, cosy and comfortable. Excellent bus service on the doorstep. We travelled by bus to Brighton and Hastings and only used the car twice during the week. Would recommend but maybe not for young children as there is no garden and an ungated driveway on to a busy road

This was our last week before flying back to Canada. We left Eastbourne in 1967 but like to return home every few years. We have never stayed at McSweeney before always selecting the seafront but feel we will be back here, they are most helpful and offered us a cup of tea when we arrived which was most wonderful. The rooms are fantastic and large, we felt like we were in a 5star hotel.
