We had a lovely week here - lovely decor that's as lovely as it is in the pictures. It was spotless and we had a generous and thoughtful basket of goodies for us and the dogs. The enclosed garden made it a stressfree stay for our dogs too. Beautiful views and great location for beach walks. We explored Battle, Hastings, Rye & Camber Sands. We would highly recommend the Stables.

Our party of 4 adults and 2 dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castlemans Stables. The cottage was very nicely decorated and very well equipped. There is a large, fenced off field where the 2 dogs were thoroughly exercised. There is a very friendly (also dog friendly) pub within 15mins walk. Good location for visiting Hastings, Rye and Battle etc.

Beautiful place to stay and fairly central, loved staying here, only wished we could have stayed longer!

A very nice cottage with a fantastic view. Not so nice is the sound of the many cars that drive the road all day long. There are 2 mattresses that are not comfortable because they are too soft and the springs in it hurt your back.

We enjoyed a wonderful "family" weekend at Castlemans Stables East and West. It ticked all the boxes for us - six adults, a 5yr old, a 2 yr old and a dog!! We felt very comfortable and spoilt - especially the welcome pack!

Castlemans Stables is a wonderful place to stay. The property is of a very high standard and the owner goes to great lengths to make sure guests a enjoyable break. The kitchen is already well stocked with the sort of things that are a pain to bring on a cottages holiday (foil, cling film, washing up liquid dishwasher tabs) and there is a lovely welcome basket on arrival. The furnishings are very comfortable. The deck (with furniture and BBQ) offers great views. Wifi works well. There is also a handy utility room (we used the freezer for getting a couple of meals from the Cook Shop in Battle). The position is great with lots to see and do locally. The local village is just right - a good pub (children welcome) and a small shop. Enough for what you need while preserving the proper small village feel. Despite being next door to another cottage and near the owner's home, the cottage always feels very private. The owner provides what you need and then leaves you to have a relaxing holiday. Perfect. This was our 4th visit (family of 4 with daughter 8 and 14) and I image we will come back again.
