This cottage was beautiful, it was spotlessly clean, all facilities you could possibly need were provided, the only let down was no parking, it would have been helpful to know what the parking arrangements were, We spent quite a bit of time watching the wildlife in the garden, we also brought wild bird food and topped up the bird feeders, which was much appreciated by those that ate from them. We all loved this cottage and would book again.

A lovely extended cottage with excellent amenities and stunning views. Keys easy to collect on arrival and a visit from someone to see that we had settled in ok. A lot of thought has been put into helpful details in the bedrooms like tissues, a clock, a small torch. The en suite shower room is very compact and somewhere to put all your damp towels if the house was full would be a challenge. The family bathroom is huge. Be careful on the stairs and landing. There was a peg bag and laundry basket but I never found a line or rotary to use. More instructions on how to use the utilities would have been nice as well. Found out by trial and error. Stunning views from nearly every aspect. 21 steps minimum to the summer house and a few shallow flags to the garden. Big space. Lots to do in the area. Good local Spa and garage and easy access to Scarborough and surrounds and an hour from York. Lounge sofas are very low so hope you are fit! Free wifi.

We had a lovely week at Castleview, and really cannot recommend it enough. There is everything you could possibly need in the cottage, with a delightful garden and summerhouse. Our daughter loved the play equipment, and seeing the kingfisher on the river. When we needed to call on them the caretakers could not be more helpful. We will definitely look to return in the future.

Wonderful house and garden. I think the tv needs replacing, as we could only receive BBC channels, all the others had interference. A hand rail at the top of the stairs would help older guests.
