Had a great week here with the bonus of wonderful weather. The owners Steve and Caroline are lovely with Steve waiting at the bottom of the hill to direct us to the property. He then showed us around and told us how to operate the fire, bath etc. The barn is really quirky and we loved the upside down living. Plenty of room and loads of storage. Nice courtyard outside (shame a out the outlook of the bins!) which is a great suntrap. Lot of walks from the property and a lovely walk into Edale along an easy footpath to The Ramblers where the food is of a good quality. The only reasons for not giving 10 all round is for the lack of dishwasher or washing machine.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. Just to clarify, guests have access to our own heavy duty washing machine which we chose especially to cater for muddy walking gear. Re bins, all our bins have wheels and can be re-located away from the terrace. Almost without exception guests prefer to have them close to hand, as they are frequently jet washed and never smell.

I haven't scored local amenities as there weren't any really but Chapel en le frith was the nearest town , a few miles away and the amenities there were absolutely fine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Carrington Barn. It is in a beautiful location, providing easy access to the rest of the Peak District.

This was our second stay, it's the most wonderful cottage, in the most beautiful place. The only negative was having to leave. Thank you again for another amazing little holiday.

Absolutely loved staying in Carrington's Barn. There really is nothing bad to say. The place was fantastic and so were the hosts. The Barn was really modern with everything you need for a stay away. The location was good with two local pubs within walking distance, although no local shops. It was a perfect placed to be snowed in!! We'll definitely be going back.

We chose Carringtons barn for its ideal location and unique interior. Although modern it was extremely comfortable to stay in. Everything we required was provided. Lovely owners . The cottage felt very private and had fantastic views. We were lucky enough to have had snow. A great place to walk from and a lovely place to come back to. Will we come again? - we sure hope to. Fantastic place

Such a lovely cottage in a great location - the pictures online are good but still don’t do it justice. Caroline and Stephen were the perfect hosts and even picked us up from the train station when we first arrived. Looking forward to returning again soon.

We had a wonderful stay. Lovely well thought out cottage. Every thing we needed and lots of lovely extra touches. The owners were welcoming and helpful. We didn't need to bother them for anything though as everything was perfect. Great location for walking all the areas best walks. Wouldn't hesitate to return. We loved it.
