Carrick House is situated in the heart of the vibrant town of Wexford, a short stroll from the National Opera House. It offers an excellent base from which to explore the ’Sunny South East’ corner of Ireland, with its dramatic landscapes, breathtaking views and diversity of walking trails. This delightful townhouse is a stone’s throw from the traditional pubs, fine eateries and colourful boutiques of Wexford town. With its medieval lanes and historic buildings such as the West Gate Heritage Tower, a restored 13th-century toll gate, and the ruined 12th-century Selskar Abbey, it is great for exploring.Within a short drive are numerous attractions including the Irish National Heritage Park, an incredible 35-acre open-air museum which recreates the key stages in Ireland’s cultural evolution. Also worth a visit are the magical Ring of Hook coastal drive with Hook Lighthouse, the oldest operational lighthouse in the world, and Loftus Hall, Ireland’s most haunted house. The golden sands of Rosslare Strand and Curracloe are a mere 15-minute drive. Beach 9 miles. Shop and restaurant 50 yards, pub 20 yards.
