Set amongst a gentle and tranquil landscape, dotted with ancient churches, wind pumps and nature reserves, the area offers a wealth of opportunity to enjoy the countryside at any pace.
Traditional seaside resorts of Cromer, 15 miles and Sheringham, 21 miles, both offer wonderful beaches. Sea Palling is a quieter seaside village and offers sand dunes with excellent wide sandy beach. During the months of late October through to February you can enjoy visiting the seals at Horsey and Winterton on Sea where special viewing platforms are created to watch the newborn seal pups. Bygone museums, craft centres, National Trust parks and homes of Blickling and Felbrigg Halls are all within an easy drive. Norwich, 13 miles, has a magnificent cathedral, castle museum, art galleries, cinemas, theatre, cafés, fine restaurants and two excellent shopping malls, large department stores and a covered market square. Blakeney Quay and Morston Harbour located further along the north Norfolk coast offer seal watching boat trips and pubs and restaurants serving superb locally caught seafood. Sandy beach 11 miles.
