A privilege to stay in such an historic and beautiful building. A different world full of peace and beauty. John and Sue made me feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. If mobility is not an issue (both with regard to the staircases inside and the steep climb to the village) this magical retreat will be an unforgettable experience.

The cottage is very homely a little more challenging for anyone with mobility issues being a 3 story mill however it is in the most wonderful grounds and the owners are so very helpful and friendly. Would return again definately

An absolute idyllic "get away from it all" place to stay. Set in magnificent grounds, which, despite their senior years, John and Sue work so hard to keep so beautiful. As we drove in for the first time, we all had a sharp intake of breath as the sheer beauty of the cottage was revealed. The photos of it on the web site simply do not do it justice, it is much much better in real life. We spent many a happy hour sat on the patio area at the side of the stream at the bottom of the garden. John and Sue, the owners, are such pleasant and helpful people, nothing is too much trouble for them. As soon as John saw our little dog, he immediately placed metal grills around the stream so that our dog couldn't fall in which is so thoughtful. The cottage itself has been most tastefully converted, but still has all the necessary "mod cons" without detracting from it's charm. We all felt it was a great shame we were only there for a week, and left with big sighs and great reluctance, with a vow to return again next year! Fabulous place, well done John and Sue!

The cottage is beautifully situated, the local countryside is very pretty and full of pleasant and easy walks, the village has a perfectly adequate shop and a nice eating-place (more than one, but we only tried one of them, and it was good), and the hosts, John and Sue, were very welcoming and helpful.
