The cottage is on a working farm with beautiful views and very little light pollution so the night star show was brilliant. Do not expect absolute quiet, we were there during lambing season and so we had our early wake up calls from the new lambs. The cottage was immaculately clean, well furnished and the kitchen fully kitted out with implements. It is about two miles walk to the nearest village of St Issey and I would recommend transport rather than walking the small winding Cornish lane. There is a pub in the village which recommends booking for Sunday lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the cottage provided a very comfortable base for visiting the picturesque towns and villages of Cornwall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Wash House. Myself, my partner, our 8 month old daughter and my partners parents were very impressed by the cleanliness and beauty of the cottage, which is situated on a farm. On our first night, we had trouble setting up the travel cot that was provided for us but the owner sorted out our problem straight away. Once we figured out how to turn the heating on, the cottage was lovely and warm. Well-equipped kitchen and plenty of storage room in the bedrooms. The scones on arrival were a lovely touch too! Thank you Dave and Julia for a trip to remember.

The Wash House was a lovely place to go for our long weekend in Cornwall. Nice cottage with everything you need, friendly owners and a cream tea waiting for us on arrival. The kids were asking when we could go back as we were leaving which is always a good sign!

Really enjoyed the holiday and the freedom it allowed to explore the area. The cottage was in an excellent location and we felt welcome by the owner down to the cream tea waiting for us on arrival. Would definitely recommend the cottage and would stay there again
