This charming holiday cottage is perfectly tucked away close to a fenced stream and offers relaxation for everyone.

Ground floor: Living room with low doorway and beams. Dining room/kitchen with beams. Bathroom with shower over whirlpool bath and toilet. First floor: Landing with single chair bed (for alternative sleeping). 2 bedrooms: 1 double leading to 1 bunk.

Both properties: Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Freezer. Wi-fi (in cafe on site, open April-October). Garden and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. NB: There is a stream next to the property.

    Although self-catering, we would have expected the basics to be provided such as salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc. A number of light bulbs were blown and the extractor fan in the bathroom was inoperable as was the spa bath. The lighting in the kitchen was terrible, we had to bring a table lamp in from the lounge to allow us to see when preparing food. The dishwasher smelt awful when we opened it. The extractor fan over the hob was inoperable and one of the extractor bulbs had blown. On a positive note the staff were all friendly as were the peacocks!

    Peaceful and lovely just what we wanted. So dog friendly and use of the facilities was a bonus. Perfect location. Loved it
