Woeful value for money; property run down, damp and poorly equipped. Moreover, owners have presented this property at the start of the season in such a state that I could not recommend individuals to stay there any time soon as dampproofing work will need to be undertaken to make it Health & Safety compliant!

We had a lovely stay at Mill Cottage with our 9 month old. Lovely place to explore the Island from. Cottage was basic but lovely. Does need a bit of modernisation and definitely a deep clean. But all in all was a great last minute holiday. Thank you.

The cottage itself is really quite basic by the standard you generally expect from a 'holiday cottage' in this day and age - kitchen is minimally equipped, and the decor could do with a few quid spending, etc. There are no frills and it has a 'least you can get away with' feel. But it has a decent log burner, and also a huge whirlpool bath that blew the kids minds. Where did that come from in a barely-modernised mill cottage?! The water mill complex itself is similarly quirky. We could completely understand the polarised reviews we read if you were just visiting for the afternoon, but staying there for a week with young children, it really grew on us. It's very Isle of Wight, rather than Disney. The staff were kind and thoughtful, and being able to use the boats and the adventure golf etc. as we pleased out of hours made it a lot of fun. The location is also great for dinosaur beaches, Yarmouth, Freshwater and the salt marshes. We had such a top week we ended up forgiving the limitations of the cottage and were sad to leave. It does need to be tarted up a little though.

A very traditional cottage set in an amazing attraction. The evening row on the stream and the crazy golf were great. Weather was wonderful during our stay otherwise the time may have been less enjoyable.
