I loved the cairns. If you want peace and quiet the cairns is the place to go. The only reason I did not give it a ten was because the grass was cut 4 times while we were there and I nearly got caught in the bathroom by the man who used to come every day to water the tomatoes round the back. But that aside it a lovely wee cottage lots of garden swings for the kids a safe field behind the cottage for them to play in. Not forgetting the hot tub which was serviced every day and was spotless. I have grand children and would have no hesitation to recommend the cairns as a place to go.

This was our 2nd stay at Cairns and once again beautiful location and the views overlooking the trout pond were fantastic. Everything you need is very close to Cairns in Blairgowrie and Alyth but you would think you were the only ones for miles once back at Cairns. Three well sized bedrooms and two bathrooms so no one in each other's way with also a large living room and dining room space for everyone. It does say that you can fish for trout using the rods provided but unfortunately they were broken. The only one very small moan I would have is I know the bungalow and garden are large and hard to maintenance when Cairns is always occupied but I think the gardener should only really come once in a week come to do the gardening even tho discreet it feels slightly evasion of privacy. But it won't stop us going back next year. Denisa thanks for all your help again.

Brilliant home for a mini break with the dog! 6 adults and a black lab had a fantastic time. Home is huge, plenty of space that you are not on top of each other. Great view over the pond in front of house, hot tub and wood burning stove. Whats not to like?

Great house, great place, only issue was a bit with the hot tub, on two occasions. Other than that definitely recommend and would go back

Cairns is a gorgeous house set in its own ground with a wee fishing pond in front. We visited in January so the pond was frozen which added to its charm albeit you couldn't fish but we weren't looking for that. House is really spacious and warm. No en-suites but two spacious cracking bathrooms with great showers and a huge mains pressure hot water cylinder so never an issue. We had a party of 5 adults and you never felt you were in each other's space - or using each other's hot water! The hot tub is great. It isn't covered but for us that was a plus as we were able to sit out under a starry sky and get an astronomy lesson. It also offers great views across to the Sidlaws during the day. We had a problem with the hot tub on the first evening but the owner was quick to resolve the issue. We used the open fire one night but to be honest the house is so warm it wasn't necessary but we just did it for the pleasure of sitting in front of the open fire. If we had small gripes they would be that there isn't a jug for water or juice; for a three night stay we wouldn't expect to run out of toilet paper after 1 day; we couldn't find matches to light the fire; there were no dish-washer tabs available (fortunately one of us thought to bring a few) but these are small things and you could argue that since it is self-catering we should have brought our own. Overall we thought Cairns was fabulous and if we don't come again it will be because we tend to look for somewhere new each time rather than be any comment on Cairns.
