Cairns Cottage is a traditional stone cottage situated on the edge of the pretty hamlet of Port Henderson, a crofting community in the heart of Wester Ross. Built over two storeys, it is ideal for couples and small families. Its been fully renovated and modernised to offer all the benefits of central heating and insulation to make it feel warm and welcoming. The main lounge is bright and welcoming, with cottage-style furniture. The kitchen/dining room is well equipped with integral units and plenty of space for dining. Steep cottage stairs lead up to the first floor. The two double bedrooms are attractively presented, with good use of space for cupboards and storage.
The gardens are a real delight. Mainly laid to lawn and bounded by a traditional dry stone wall, they enjoy superb views across the field to the sea and the Isle of Skye beyond. There is also a small patio area with picnic table and chairs; a wonderful spot to sit and admire the views.
Cairns Cottage is situated on a small country lane that follows the contours of the coastline, with small bays, little fishing harbours, sweeping sands and stunning scenery. It finishes at Redpoint Bay, a renowned beauty spot, with a wide sandy beach.
