Situated right on the loch side with views over Loch Linnhe, this lovely traditional cottage has been tastefully renovated to retain the charm of the old cottage but to allow modern living. Cairndow offers the ultimate in self-catering and comfort, in one of the most beautiful parts of the Scottish Highlands.
This stunning cottage has a comfortable living room with wood burner, an 8ft pool table and comfortable seating for all. To enter the living room you go through the dining room, which can seat up to eight at the table, (also a handy spot to catch up with the odd email whilst on holiday!) the kitchen is a modern farmhouse kitchen with all the appliances required to make your stay easier. There is one double bedroom on the ground floor with an open fire, upstairs are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom with a large walk in shower. The well-maintained gardens are enclosed, but it is requested that dogs be on the lead when out walking.
Across the road from the cottage is the beach where you can go over and enjoy the sunset with your favourite tipple or a cup of tea in the morning, for those more adventurous you could wild swim in Loch Linnhe. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and then some more heading north towards Fort William and south to Ballachulish. Cairndow, Onich is 15 minutes from Fort William and Ben Nevis in the Lochaber area, known as the ‘Outdoor Capital of the UK’, and thirty miles from the popular town of Oban, the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’ and ‘Gateway to the Isles’. The grandeur of Glencoe, with its stunning scenery, popular walks, and climbs, is just on the doorstep and there is easy access to the wilderness of Ardnamurchan and the Morvern mountains, via the Coran Ferry, just 2 miles distant. Beach ½ mile.
