Caerkief Farm comprises Babes Cottage(ref 27592) and Hollies Cottage(ref 27593), which offer charming and characterful holiday accommodation in a tranquil, rural setting. The cottages are restored from period farm buildings and retain beamed ceilings in the living areas and original stone walls. They share 2-acre of grounds along with a recreation area and barbecue facilities. Set at the end of a quiet, unmade lane, yet within easy reach of Goonhavern village and the town of Perranporth, the cottages enjoy delightful panoramic views over an undulating landscape. This is the perfect location for those seeking a peaceful holiday in unspoilt Cornish countryside, with miles of beautiful country walks, yet only 2 miles from Perranporth with its large surfing beach and golf course. Truro is 9 miles, the Eden Project is 20 miles, and more surfing, fishing and golfing can be found in Newquay, 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

    Very welcoming hosts, nice large garden for exercising our dog, well equipped cottage, great welcome pack with homemade jam, bread and butter etc. Tourist information provided in cottage. Highly recommended!

    We loved the cottage and so did the dog! Lovely welcome from our hosts, Gail and Simon. Fab basket of food to start off our stay. We would love to go again soon.

    We had a lovely time at Hollies Cottage. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and it's off the beaten track a little therefore very quiet and peaceful. A welcome change for us as we live on a fairly busy road in Cheam. Having said that, its location would be difficult to get to without a car or m/cycle as you have to use an un-tarmaced, single track road for about 500 metres to get to it so bear that in mind before booking. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable and the owners do everything they possibly can to make you welcome. The welcome pack of locally made bread, jam and tea was appreciated. It is well situated as to make traveling to surrounding towns and cities very easy. Newquay, Truro and Redruth are only short drives away (Truro is especially worth visiting). We are a family of four, two daughters aged 11 & 8. My wife and I slept in the only bedroom and the girls shared the sofa bed in the lounge area. They were comfortable and slept well as did we. The only thing we found it to be lacking was storage for our girls clothes (and they took enough!). There is no storage for clothes other than the wardrobe and drawers in the main bedroom so they spent the week living out of their hold-alls. Space is at a premium in the lounge area but I do think a chest of drawers could be squeezed in. Our two dogs loved it there as they had a huge field to run around in o their hearts content.
