Both properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Combi microwave/oven/grill. Washing by arrangement. Fridge/freezer. Shared lawned garden with furniture. Balcony. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Shared hot tub. Massage centre on-site (at cost). Welcome pack. No smoking. Shared hot tub

Boasting their own private balconies overlooking farmland and with shared use of a hot tub, these two adjoining converted oak barns (refs 29409 and 29410) in the owners’ grounds make an ideal holiday base for exploring the Kent countryside. There is even an on-site massage centre which guests can pay for on arrival. Known as ‘The Garden of England’ with its miles of woodlands and fields, including gardens large and small, visit Sissinghurst and Goodnestone Park, where Jane Austen penned parts of ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Approximately 8 miles from Canterbury, where the cathedral dates back to the 11th century, enjoy a concert, or take a river tour. Whitstable, dubbed the ‘Pearl of Kent’ presents a great opportunity to indulge in sampling oysters for which it is renowned for. Alternatively, visit the port town of Hythe, with its interesting antique shops and fishing along the seafront. Roundwood Hall, for golf, is less than 2½ miles away and there is horse riding at Marberdan Riding Centre, 1 mile. For retail therapy, try McArthur Glen designer outlet, as well as Dover and the Channel Tunnel – both within easy driving distance for a day trip to France. Beach 10 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 1 miles.

Good location for shopping in outlet and Canterbury. Easy to get to Dover Castle which is worth a visit. Very quiet and very dark! Coming from London this was strange. The property was small but warm and cosy. Friendly owner.

A great quiet rural location, only a shortish drive to the coast. Owners were very helpful. Jacuzzi brilliant. Dogs loved the enclosed paddock. Some great local pubs who welcome dogs. All in all a brilliant relaxing time

Very compact and comfortable small barn conversion cottage. Idyllic rural setting with a large enclosed garden. Hot tub outside the two cottages (shared). Spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom - so need to be mobile! No WiFi on site and variable mobile signal. Freeview television. Excellent location for dogs - both in the enclosed garden and nearby footpaths. Easy access to the North Downs Way. Owner Tim is very welcoming and approachable. Cake and a bottle of wine on arrival as well as milk in the fridge - very welcome.
