Bwthyn y Gorwel is the perfect spot for discovering this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire. An ideal couples retreat nestled within the quaint hamlet of Bwlch-y-groes, complete with a chapel and village shop, surrounded by rolling countryside and moorland with stunning views out towards the Preseli Hills. This pretty, detached stone cottage is set within the owner’s grounds and offers the perfect base to discover this area. The open plan living space offers lots of character, with original beams, open vaulted ceilings and a former crog loft, along with a large inglenook fireplace with focal wood burner - ideal for a relaxing evening in front of the fire after a busy day sightseeing. Each room has been lovingly furnished and offers a good level of comfort throughout. On an evening, enjoy dining alfresco and take in the clear night skies. A 5-minute drive away is the village of Crymych with its traditional Welsh pubs, craft shops and a butchers. Here you can enjoy a plethora of fantastic walks including the Golden Road, an ancient route said to date back to the Neolithic period 5000 years ago. Locally there are some truly beautiful beaches and coves, with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path within a 30-minute drive. Newport Sands, Poppit Sands and Mwnt Beach are all not to be missed for fishing, kayaking, swimming or a relaxing stroll. The market towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn are both within a 15-minute drive, along with the magnificent Cenarth Falls where salmon can be seen leaping. The famous walled town of Tenby makes the perfect day out with its cobbled streets, sandy beaches and stunning harbour where you can enjoy fish and chips with epic views! Beach 12 miles. Shop 50 yards, shop and restaurant 3½ miles.
