Situated on the owner’s smallholding, Bwthyn Bwlch was formerly the dairy to the farm. This detached holiday property has been beautifully converted with a vaulted living room with leather sofas and a cosy wood burner, great for relaxing in with a glass or two of wine. A wonderful spiral staircase leads up to the first floor bedroom, and there’s a pleasant patio outside, great for catching the sun. The county town of Denbigh has the romantic ruins of Denbigh Castle, together with a selection of independent and national shops, as well as leisure facilities. Discover Llyn Brenig Reservoir and visitor centre, 8 miles away, which offers opportunities for fly fishing (brown trout), sailing, cycling (including bike hire), and walking (Mynydd Hiraethog Site of Special Scientific Interest).
At Blaenau Ffestiniog you can try out the world’s largest zip wire zone at Zip World, and Bounce Below with trampoline nets deep in an underground slate cavern. Or if surfing is your thing then pop in to Surf Snowdonia to catch a wave – or just a coffee! The beautiful National Trust garden at Bodnant has 80 acres of floral abundance to explore all year round, whilst the impressive Chirk Castle and Erddig (both National Trust) make for a great day out. The Clwydian Hills, which offer plenty of walking opportunities to visitors are nearby and the beaches of the North Wales Coast, plus historic Conwy, the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, and the bustling city of Chester are within easy reach. The Snowdonia National Park with further walking opportunities. For golfers there is a golf club on the outskirts of Denbigh, 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3½ miles.
