The environment is very neglected. The cottage on the other hand is nice. There is no possibility to sit outside except in the parking lot!

Bwthyn Bach presents potential visitors (and, I suspect, its owners) with somewhat of a dilemma. On the one hand, this is probably the grandest and most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in: it is furnished to a very high standard throughout. The accommodation layout is a bit quirky with a large bedroom downstairs and a very comfortable lounge upstairs. However, therein lies the main problem. Bwthyn Bach adjoins another cottage which is rented permanently to tenants with 2 very noisy dogs that has its reception room right next to the bedroom and, because there is no sound proofing whatsoever, we had disturbed nights for the duration of the stay. Both cottages are attached to a very grand house which has some historical significance but it is sadly in a state of disrepair with a boarded up door and broken windows. Not the relaxed experience we had hoped for. If it had not been for the stunning walks around the LLeyn Peninsula that we were able to do, we would have come home early.

Super cottage in beautiful surroundings. Tastefully decorated and fully equipped. Some lovely extra thoughtful touches like teas/coffee fresh milk and Welsh cakes on arrival. Booking was easily managed and caretaker friendly. Close and easy routes into Caernarfon and surrounding tourist attractions. We stayed for 5 nights and really didn’t want to leave. Will definitely return.
