Set in the peace and quiet of the Somerset countryside, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is a collection of contemporary homes from home designed with relaxation in mind. Within an easy drive from sandy beaches for those bucket and spade days, Lakeview Holiday Cottages is home to two and three bedroom properties. Each one has an impressive décor and the kind of features that make you want to spend as much time as possible catching up close to home, from kingsize beds, Juliet balconies and lake views.

With Somerset’s gentle canals to one side and a private fishing lake to the other, we can’t really think of a more idyllic setting for some time out with your favourite people. Close to the little village of Huntworth near the Somerset Levels, our Lakeview cottages and lodges are perfect for those of you keen to explore the area on foot, and for those days when you’re happy not to venture far from home you’ll find the communal gardens make just the space to unwind in the sun.

You’ll find Butterburr Lodge on the Lakeview resort, right in the heart of the Somerset countryside. With two bedrooms and a peaceful setting overlooking a stream, this cottage makes a tranquil spot to escape from the hustle and bustle and forget the world for a few days.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining space that makes it easy to enjoy time together with plenty of space to relax. On warmer days you can cook up a storm in the kitchen and open the terrace doors so you can enjoy the sounds of the surrounding countryside while you dine, and with the terrace only a step away it’s easy to take a moment of quiet over your morning cup of coffee.

Warm up cooler evenings with a family film night in front of the electric flame-effect fire, and when it’s time for bed you’ll find an ever-so-welcoming kingsize bed in the master bedroom that makes just the place to recharge after a busy day of walking. Outside, you’ll have the run of the communal gardens, so if you feel like staying close to your home from home you’ll be free to lie back on the grass and just enjoy time out.

I think it would be good if there was a fuller welcome pack such as a pint of milk in the fridge, a soft drink and perhaps complimentary biscuits (not the small ones!). Also, they need to invest in better wi-fi. In today's digital culture, everything is driven by technology so would be a nice touch so customers do not need to worry about their own data usage. Very enjoyable otherwise! Thank you!
