We loved our stay in Borrowdale Lodge. The lodge was beautifully clean, well furnished and well equipped. A really lovely touch was the bottle of wine and box of local biscuits waiting for us when we arrived. Burnside Park itself is a tranquil and well-maintained site. The views from the lodge itself are lovely, out over a field and across to the many hills surrounding Keswick. The A66 passes nearby, but it is well-hidden and although there is a little road noise we soon got used to it. It takes about 15 minutes to walk into Keswick Town Centre. The nearby Pheasant Inn is great for a pint or two and also does food. Netflix and Wifi in Borrowdale Lodge were good, and I had pretty good phone reception most of the time. It's a great lodge in a great spot. We would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay and has all the bits and bobs you could need. It was an ideal location for me as I was doing lots of walking in the area so having the car parked outside and being able to reach walk start points quickly was perfect. Would recommend to family and friends and would return in the future

The lodge is a first-class place to spend a week or two in the beautiful area of Derwentwater. We spent Xmas and New Year there in 2021. The cottage itself is very well equipped, modern, and was spotlessly clean when we arrived to find it well decorated and even with welcome gifts, much appreciated! When staying there in the winter, it was good to have a proper washing machine and dryer, and a modern bathroom and shower. The location is great, just outside Keswick, with lots of hiking tracks outside the door, no need to drive to find great hikes; valley walks, Walla Crag and up to Skiddaw is nearby. Shopping and restaurants are easy to find in Keswick, 10 minutes walk away.
