The dog and I had a wonderful holiday, lovely cottage with a paddock for Charlie to run around in. Lisa Ashton, the owner was a very pleasant and helpful lady. The Cotswolds is a very beautiful part of England with quaint villages and lots of places to enjoy a good meal. Had a great time.

Another fantastic visit (our third) to this great accommodation in a lovely area of the Cotswolds. As always, we got a very friendly welcome from Lisa (the owner) and a very generous welcome pack (for us and our dogs)! We can't believe a couple of previous reviews from rude, ungrateful people who couldn't appreciate this nice kind gesture! We're lucky to have found the perfect get-away for the two of us and our two dogs in the perfect location to explore the north Cotswolds. It couldn't be more dog-friendly and a large, secure exercise paddock is even provided!

The Barn was clean and well equipped, apart from there not being a hairdryer and no ironing board to go with the iron!. Warm welcome from owner and nice touch with the the wine and cake on arrival. It was in a very quiet area, so relaxing. There were no amenities in close proximity but as we had a car no major problem. The Red Lion in Long Compton served excellent food and friendly ambience.

Response on behalf of the owner; The ironing board is in the bedroom, I’m sorry you couldn’t find it. You should have asked me and I could have shown you where it was.

Spent a lovely winter break at Burmington Barn. The barn is very well equipped and we knew what to expect having read other reviews. Lisa was a lovely host and was really kind when our dog became sick and we had to visit the local vets. Our dogs both loved the paddock and it was great to use on the snowy days. We visited Shipston on Stour which was great for pubs and food, and in Burmington itself we bought Rapeseed oil from the Granary Oils Company which was a five minute walk from the barn. Nice to support local businesses! I feel like some of the reviews on here are a little over critical. Yes some things may be a little tired looking but that’s life! Our own house needs the odd thing replacing but it doesn’t detract from what is a very good barn, with friendly owners, excellent for the dogs and we’d definitely recommend!

There were no will go as specified, the bed were so uncomfortable we left a day early, the door kept sticking so we had to use side door. Paddock was good for our dog. Kitchen were fully equipped although cupboards were broken

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I feel this is an unfair comment, the internet was working, but as per the description, we are in a rural location and your internet connectivity is not consistent, as per description. The property doors and windows are all wood so are subject to swelling with excessive rain. A beds comfort ability is subjective. The barn is priced accordingly. We are happy that Burmington Barn receives many positive reviews that give a truer reflection.

Had a restful long weekend with our doggie at Burmington Barn as a base to visit Bourton in the Water, Batsford Arbouretum, Chipping Campden and Cotswold walks. Had fabulous meals out at Ebrington Arms, Red Lion at Long Compton and Churchill Arms at Paxford (all dog friendly). The cottage was stylish, warm and comfortable. The owner welcomed us on arrival with wine, cake and doggie treats and showed us the bonus of a fenced off dog exercise area and gave us some milk as the nearest shop was in Shipston. Excellent Tv and lots of local information leaflets etc. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
