Refurbished 19th-century cottage in the heart of a quiet hamlet between the Cheviot Hills and the Heritage coastline.

: Farmhouse style with gas Aga, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

Large lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: There are 3 steps in the garden.

Nestling between the Cheviot Hills and the Heritage coastline with its sandy beaches this cottage lies close to the A1 and ideally situated for exploring Northumberland and beyond, such as Berwick on the Scottish Borders, and Kielder National Park with its famous dark skies to the west. This refurbished 19th century cottage sits in the heart of the small hamlet of Newton-on-the-Moor. It is a mere 200 yards from a highly acclaimed pub and restaurant. There is a gas Aga set within an original inglenook and is available throughout the year, so whatever the weather, Bumble Cottage is always warm and welcoming. The southfacing garden room is ideal for relaxing, with both French doors open you can enjoy the outside in or enjoy al fresco dining on the patio. Fishing can be found at Thurnton Lake, day tickets can be purchased, and horse riding is 4 miles away. Beach 7 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    We had a lovely stay at Bumble cottage- It really is a cottage with a wow factor! It is bigger than it looks in the photos and is well stocked with lots of tourist information. It was great fun cooking on the Aga. We would definitely stay again.
