Other popular activities in the area include cycling, horse riding and fell running. The area is abundant in wildlife and there are several country parks in the area including Loggerheads (9 miles), Moel Famau (12 miles) and Ty Mawr (18 miles). Across the border into England historic Chester with its city walls, cathedral, famous races and zoo is a 40 minute drive and vibrant Liverpool just under an hour’s drive. For those who prefer a coastal landscape the beaches of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre are within a 45 minute drive or why not visit the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno which is just under an hour.
