Hare’s Retreat is one of three cabins located in an arch in one of the fields of Brosterfield Farm. It is the perfect, quaint escape for your Peak District break with four-legged furry friends welcome too! The cabin offers an open plan space with kingsize bed, sofa area, kitchen with fridge, hob and microwave oven, as well as a shower room. Outside you have a garden area with furniture.
Brosterfield Farm is located within a great area, local to many walks and tourist attractions.
Visit the market town of Bakewell, famous for its puddings, and if you go to the museum in town you can learn about the Bakewell elephant!
Buxton is also a popular town, better known for its spa and opera house.
The stately home of Chatsworth House, built in the 17th and early 18th centuries has been home to the Devonshire family for over 400 years. In addition to the house, there are 105 acres of gardens to explore and an amazing cascade waterfall and fountain.
Haddon Hall is like stepping back in time with over 900 years of history. It has been the backdrop for several TV programmes and films including Jane Eyre, The Princess Bride, Elizabeth, Pride and Prejudice and The Other Boleyn Girl.
The Peak District has more to offer including the show caves at Castleton and the Blue John mines. Matlock and Matlock Bath are also worth a visit as is a trip on the cable car to the Heights of Abraham.
