Cottage was in lovely location and well equipped. It wasn’t very welcoming on arrival as it was quiet chilly and so felt a bit damp, once we turned the storage heaters on (for the week) and the other electric fires and warmed the place up it was fine. The building itself was tired and needed a bit of work but the equipment, bedding and so on was all good. Towels would have been nice. A welcome / information pack would also have been nice about the cottage and the area and just to say hello. That all said we felt at home and comfortable in the cottage and enjoyed our stay, we would recommend it and would return there ourselves.

Everything extremely clean, tastefully furnished and wonderfully equipped. The only thing that we missed was information about what to do and see in the vicinity (which is what we usually encounter in holiday cottages).

Lovely location very near to Lake and only one Mile walk to both Hawkshead and Hill top. Lovely food Tower bank arms 1 Mile away. We were there when our dear Queen passed away and watched state events on a very small TV. Property comfortable enough, but really does need added extras such as starter kit for fire, tea n coffee after long traveling would have been useful. Took own towels but you can hire them. Plates ect were greasy on shelves but good dishwasher sorted this, couldn't use Bath as issues hot water but shower sufficed. Lovely open fire behind the plate where electric heater is was enjoyed. Had a lovely stay and would recommend, just be aware accomadation does require some minor tweaks to make more comfortable. We had a relaxing break I beautiful countryside and lakes.
