Brookhouse Barn is a haven of peace in a mad world. It was wonderful to wake up with nothing but the sound of birdsong and the occasional sheep. The barn is very well equipped and the owners are lovely - friendly and welcoming but not intrusive. We loved the neighbours too - i.e. Doris the ewe and her friends! Doris is a real character and is very fond of treats (kindly supplied by the owners), carrots and potato crisps. Location is perfect, because although very quiet and rural, the barn is perfectly placed for visiting many other places. All in all a fantastic week - we wouldn't hestiate in recommending the barn.

Absolutely lovely barn very clean and well presented with everything you need. Great location for days out and a local pub is just a miles away. We had a great time here especially feeding Doris the sheep and her crew.

A really great stay. Friendly hosts and the perfect place to relax. Loads of places to visit in driving distance but staying in and feeding the sheep was also fab.

We stayed at Brookhouse Barn over Christmas with our young son and had a great time. The photos do not do the place justice as was far larger than we expected. While the roads leading to the location are quite narrow and rural, the benefits are a tranquil retreat which served as a great base to explore the local area. Sarah was also a great host and we would be very happy to stay here again.
