cottage was very, very cold on arrival and heating could be very complicated for some to understand, luckily I work in that trade, heating very, very sluggish to get warm!!! Kitchen and bathroom could have been cleaner

Lovely, quiet out of the way cottage, nestled in beautiful surroundings. Everything you need there, even spare Tupperware for your packed lunches. The piano was a lovely surprise as not in the photos, so piano practice every day! This part of Wales is stunning, we visited several beaches, walked on Cadair Idris and pony trekked to Fairhaven, and much more. You need to be prepared for a little extra time in the car, but coming back to such a comfortable cottage is worth it. The neighbours are lovely too and gave us good tips on places to visit. We definitely want to come back. Coat hooks and a boot mat by the back door would be welcome as we didn't use the front door.

Loved this cottage, very well appointed we wanted fir nothing. A little remote, we had to drive everywhere but would definitely stay there again. The owner could not have been more friendly and helpful

Very well equipped home from home, comfortable and clean. We have stayed in holiday cottages before and this is the first time I didn't have to use my "essentials bag"! I have teenagers, so the WiFi, DVD's, TV in the bedroom were very welcome in the evening, as was the board games, it was a surprisingly fun evening for us all! The cottage is well located for trips out - but expect around 40 minute drive, we travelled to Port Meirion, about an hour away and worth the drive. No local shop or pub - you have to take the car. There was a couple of niggles - the lack of outdoor space. The garden is actually behind shared sheds and is next to the road, so no privacy and not really a space to sit in of an evening with a glass of wine. And also having to put the bins/recycling out for collection. The previous renter did not and we had to struggle with full bins in the pouring rain, hubby was not amused! However, overall it didnt deter us from havng a lovely few days away - the scenery of Dovey Valley and Snowdonia was breathtaking and an easy drive to the coast Aberystwyth and Aberdovey makes this a great holiday base. Will definitely plan to go back.
