Ancient oak woodland views, the Teign Valley and thatched cottages await. The house is located close to Dunsford tea rooms, the village pub, post office and shop.
With two living rooms, a large kitchen and a sunroom there is plenty of space to hide; the house even has four entrances. The kitchen is very well equipped, with an Aga and electric oven for cooking and a full range of appliances, with a large dining table, perfect for cooking and enjoying a home cooked meal after a day exploring Devon. The two cosy living rooms each have a wood burner (unlimited logs are offered), and comfy sofas; there are even three TVs in the house! An extensive library of books, maps and pamphlets, DVDs and games means that you will enjoy even the stormiest of days.
On the ground floor; there is a utility room, shower room and two bedrooms (one with a single bed and the other with a super kingsize bed which can be split to twins on request). Upstairs is a family bathroom and three well-furnished bedrooms (a super kingsize, a double and a kingsize that can be split into twins on request). Interlined quilted curtains cover the quaint medieval windows.
The peaceful enclosed garden is full of blossom in spring, snow drops, crocus, daffodils, love in the mist, snap dragons and climbing roses depending on the time of year. Enjoy the splendid views from the kitchen or outside as you cook on the barbecue. This is a garden to relax in, throw a frisbee or use the putting game.
Situated in one of Devon’s most popular un-spoilt areas, you can enjoy country walks directly from the property. The walks of Fingle Woods, Moretonhampstead and Chagford are minutes away. Canonteign Falls and the Teign Valley Golf Course are along the Teign Valley road. Dartmoor National Park is excellent for outdoor pursuits whether it is walking and hiking, Dartmoor ponies or fishing at local reservoirs; a cream tea awaits you somewhere. Why not enjoy the beaches at one of Devon’s bustling seaside resorts? Teignmouth, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis or Exmouth on the south coast or Bude (surfing), Hartland or Clovelly (step back in time) to the North.
Exeter is barely a 20-minute drive and offers a range of popular shops, boutiques, restaurants, cinemas and other leisure facilities as well as the extraordinary Exeter Cathedral which is situated in the centre of the city.
Brimblecombes is the perfect place for a family or a group of friends looking to enjoy the peace and quiet of one of Devon’s most beautiful spots.
