This is our seventh UK cottage stay. Bridge house is set in a fab location with a lot to do within 30 minutes drive. The house itself was clean (with it being an old property it is a bit musty) and had enough space for the 5 of us. My children said the beds were really comfy. The hot tub is brilliant! We always look at reviews before booking and one previous review of this property from a while back stated a few things that we thought would’ve been addressed but hadn’t been. There are a couple of spots were just a touchup with paint would quickly sort it out around the boiler and at the bottom of the stairs. The fridge looked clean but there was an “off” smell. The shower tray was dirty. The radiator in the bathroom is rusted and stained. The stair carpet just needs tacking back on properly. The welcome pack that was stopped during Covid would’ve been most welcome. There is some sort of diesel boiler near the back door which throws out some strong fumes if the wind is blowing the wrong way. A draining board would be useful (we used a tea towel). Small details and slightly nitpicking but easy fixes (apart from that old boiler).
