Corbridge is a lovely location for our autumn break. The so called cottage was in reality a flat within the main house, which was disappointing due to noise of children in other parts of the building. The accomodation was an odd mix. The bathroom was excellent, obviously recently refurbished. The electrical appliances were dated. The TV was old and lost picture when moved from the wall to be watched from the settee. The bedside lamps were powered from an extension lead "stuck" to the wall. The curtains were too thin to dampen the road noise. The welcome pack was generous, although disappointing that there was nothing for our dog, the cottage was advertised as dog friendly, especially when the accommodation fee includes a proportion for the dog. Despite these failings we enjoyed our week in Corbridge and would probably visit the area again. Unfortunately the steep rise in the cost of booking Quince Cottage, will probable prevent this.
