From the moment you open the door you know it's going to be a lovely experience. The cottage is tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Electrical items are high spec and furnishings very comfortable. As I stayed in mid October the weather wasn't great and it took a little while to warm the cottage up, an extra radiator in the hallway would have helped and the icing on the cake would have been able to use the open fire or had the use of a log burner. I would imagine the garden would be a joy in the summer months. Pinwherry is a tiny place with no local amenities but Ballantrae is just a short drive and has a well stocked shop. I went to unwind and recovery from an illness so found the peace and quiet just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommended a stay at Bridge cottage.
